Elisabeth Schneller’s objects, in whatever technique and whatever materials created, always tell us individual stories and deal with personal or general topics of life and feelings. The artist translates the theme into her favourite materials clay and wood. Clay, which is formed by adding, wood and stone, in which a shape is formed by taking away. In order to make the transience visible, for example, the sculptor scorch wooden objects, uses soft sandstone or shapes objects in such a way that they show signs of use (e. g. original-sized luggage such as suitcases, hat boxes, sports bags and rucksacks made of clay). In addition to working with clay, wood and stone, Elisabeth casts objects in concrete, ceramics, acrylic, plaster, etc. using silicone casting. Some multimedia implementations are also integrated in her artistic oeuvre.
