Julienne Jattiot
Vanity remains
Julienne Jattiot is a french born printing artist, living in Berlin since 2013. She studied among other places at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee. She works mainly in silkscreen and relief printing (linocut and letterpress). Her work roots lay in long traditional forms of art, but her tribute is very contemporary, which allow her to question the codes of our modern society. Resolutely colorfoul, often caustic and satirical, some of her works are however plain form and color plays. Prints are produced in very small editions, from unique pieces up to editions of 20. Since 2011 Julienne Jattiot showed her prints in national and international groupe and solo shows. Alone or with the artist collectiv La Societé Savante, created 2011 with tree other artists. Since 2008 she supervised the Letterpress studio at the Kunsthochschule-Berlin Weißensee as well as Letterpress or silkscreen workshops for Art University or Art Schools. She also co-founded 2014 the Jott P. M. printing studio in Berlin. She is working since 2016 with Thomas Siemon in the carpe plumbum printing studio in Leipzig.
